I have been off-and-on with gym memberships ever since I stopped playing competitive sports. At previous gyms, I would usually go once to twice a week, work too hard, and be sore for three days after. Eventually, I would lose interest altogether and stop going.
Jeordie’s approach is completely different and the philosophy behind it all makes sense. You need to “earn the bar” which is to learn the fundamentals, gain supporting strength, and then can work your way up to lifting heavyweights. This progression was exactly what I needed, and I can now work hard at OPEX 4-5 times a week and recover very quickly.

I started Opex four years ago. I have played competitive sports and “gone to the gym” for many years since my University days.
I decided to join OPEX Delta as I needed a change and wanted to try something new. But I have always been nervous about doing new weights or exercises due to an old back injury in my 20’s that I am always anxious about injuring again.
Jeodie’s personal training has given me the confidence to try new skills and get out of my comfort zone. I am lifting weights and doing specific exercises that I never thought I would be able to do. If I ever have any doubts or questions about something, Jeordie is right there to answer and explain why we are doing what we are doing.
